Highlights of the Past

2023 - Weekend Seminar with Jim Masterson - Livestream at HorseClass campus with Callie Rae King

Part of my job is supporting Jim Masterson’s company in various ways, including IT support. Callie Rae King, founder of HorseClass, partnered with Jim to offer a 2nd Weekend Seminar at her family farm in Pennsylvania, only this time it was livestreamed! What an amazing event. I can’t wait to review the recording! Jim was mic’d the whole time, going around the arena after his demos providing tips to students throughout the day. And Callie Rae King is an amazing horsewoman and businesswoman. I also got to meet Andrea Wady and read her book, Crossing Bridges!

2022 - Light to the Core Seminar

One highlight of 2022 was being a student at the new Light to the Core Seminar, with Lori Hoppe, Sandy Vreeburg, and Jim Masterson teaching. What a wonderful way to see the power of Less is More, and Doubt the Doubt! I also trained in how to teach this seminar. If you live in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota and would like to host this 2-day seminar at your barn, please reach out to me! Let’s get one on the calendar next year!

2021 - United States pony club festival - kentucky horse park

Mimi Duffy and David Ospital with US Pony Clubbers at Duffy’s Pony Club Riding Center in Novato, CA

I’m so thankful to have joined these amazing U.S. Pony Clubbers from Duffy’s Pony Club Riding Center at the 2021 USPC Festival in Lexington, KY, alongside Jim Masterson, Mimi Duffy (USPC Riding Instructor), David Ospital (USPC Volunteer), and Amelia Nalli. Mimi and David have taught their students the Masterson Method Bladder Meridian Technique, and they in turn helped us teach Pony Club attendees at the 2021 Festival, alongside Jim! As an alumna of the USPC (B rating, Garrison Pony Club) and 1983 Festival attendee, this was a wonderful “coming full circle” event! We hope to join the USPC again at the 2024 USPC Festival in Lexington, KY!

About Me

Megan Dushin

I grew up on a horse farm in New York learning from and working alongside my mother — a lifelong horsewoman and head of the Garrison Pony Club. She taught me to appreciate the Basics, keep horses natural, and aspire to the special union between horse and human.

After a childhood filled with riding, teaching, and competing, I decided to hang up the halter and explore the world outside of horses. I picked up where I left off 25 years later after college, a career, and two kids.

When I discovered The Masterson Method, I felt my calling loud and clear. My studies of kinesiology, movement-based therapies, and body awareness came in handy in this approach to helping horses - through the body and mindful of the horse/human relationship. I’m now able to give back to horses and help them be the best they can be through bodywork.
